THE final stage of work has begun on Zijingang Road Tunnel, which is expected to open by the end of this year, the Hangzhou Urban Infrastructure Development Center said yesterday.

Zijingang Road Tunnel is an extension of Yuhangtang Road. It runs from Wenyi Road W. to Liushi Road and has a total length of about 2.65 kilometers. According to urban planning authorities, the tunnel will save passengers at least 10 minutes when traveling between Liuxiang and Xixi roads.
